1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 small onion, finely diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 tsp. dried dill
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 cup bulgur (soak 1 hour in 1 1/2 cup water - boiled and poured over the bulgur) 1/8 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. soy sauce (or more to taste)
1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. water
3 Tbsp. dried cranberries
3 Tbsp. toasted pine nuts
1. Coat pine nuts in 1/4 tsp. oil and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
2. Heat the 1 Tbsp. oil in a skillet. Add the onion, garlic, dill and allspice. Cook until the onion is transparent.
3. Add the bulgur and salt and cook for 1 minute.
4. Pour in the water, bring to a boil; then lower the heat and cook, covered, for 10 minutes.
5. Add the soy sauce to taste
6. Stir in the dried cranberries, remove from the heat, cover, and let stand for 5 minutes.
7. Fluff with a fork, add the pine nuts, and fluff again.
